Primarily denim based apparel company: Nishat Apparel preferred a lively contemporary space with a vintage feel. The idea was inspired by the conversation of some lofts in New York into meeting spaces for clients and vendors/suppliers, coupled with a retail based on low maintenance. The design duo of SRDW yet again showed their proclivity towards design by creating space for work, relaxation and retail simultaneosly, something that which would not need revamping every few years.
The space is wholesome with a timeless feel with tested materials, bit retant on fashion. A careful selection of natural wood, steel, concrete and brick was made to achieve a balance in order not to overwhelm the user, and to keep their focus on the product on display. The structure was also modified to bring in more natural light and increase the view of the Courtyard. Vintage furniture from the 1920s and 1960s was chosen, and treated with distressed leather and natural stone making rough usage and maintenance non-issues.
